Boys’ Tennis Falls to Carmel

#1 Carmel topped #12 Guerin Catholic by a 4-1 count for their 11th consecutive sectional title on a blustery afternoon at Carmel High School. GC senior Cole Metzger won his match at #1 singles and, by doing so, stayed alive in the state singles tournament. He will likely play next week in the Kokomo Regional.

The #12 ranked Guerin Catholic boys’ tennis team opened sectional play Wednesday against the #15 ranked Westfield Shamrocks. Boys’ Tennis Sectional – Guerin Catholic vs. Westfield

The sectional pairings were released Monday night, and the #12 Golden Eagles will take on the #15 Shamrocks at Carmel High School. The match time is 4:45 pm. #1 Carmel will face University in the other first-round match, with the winners meeting on Thursday. Westfield defeated GC 4-1 in a match earlier in the season.
